I did a DIY project for my freshman college dorm room, and I found this DIY off on Pinterest, of course. So if you want to know how I did this Flower Initial, just read down below:
The supplies you will need:
- 1 Wooden Initial ( Hobby Lobby)
- Hot Glue Gun
- Paint (Hobby Lobby)
- Paintbrushes
- Flowers (Dollar Tree)
- A pair of scissors
- Cardboard for painting
So the steps:
1. Paint your wooden initial. I painted my initial white, just as a base color, and not to distract from the flowers. Because essential you would be covering the whole wooden initial, so really painting is optional.
2. Remove the stems from the flowers. First, I thought I needed scissors to do this, but actually they pulled right off, which was great.!
3. Arrange the flowers on your initial to appear as you would like them when you hot glue them.
4. Use the hot glue gun to glue the flowers into place on the wooden initial.
5. And then you are DONE.! Easy, right?
Finish product - where I hung my flower initial over my dorm bed.
Dorm room tour coming.!
